Place:StratigraphicInterface node definition.

Description

Nodes with both the "Place" and "StratigraphicInterface" labels, representing the physical boundaries between immediately adjacent stratigraphic archaeological contexts (i.e., Place:Context nodes), including natural boundaries (those that naturally occur when one site formation process ends and before another begins) and those that result from direct human intervention (e.g., the creation of a cut by digging holes or trenches through pre-existing deposit contexts). Each Place:StratigraphicInterface requires the existence of two Place:Context nodes and the interface can only be described in terms of these contexts. The interface itself is intangible and may have varying degrees of clarity in the recognizability of change from one context to another, whether lying above, below, horizontally adjacent, or that are part of a filled cut. These StratigraphicInterface nodes are essential for recreating the chronological ordering of a site's formation. Each Place:StratigraphicInterface should be named using the "Place:Context":"Place:Context" format, as a combination of each Place:Context's name property separated by a colon. Represented in visualizations by HTML hex color #B5179E: Place:StratigraphicInterface with white (#FFFFFF) label text.
